Current Role
As medical director, Dr. Lubsen oversees SHOW’s response to clinical data collected from survey participants and responds to abnormal results, ensuring that participants get appropriate medical care.
Dr. Lubsen served as SHOW’s associate medical director starting in October 2018 and transitioned into the medical director position in December 2019.
Research Interests
Dr. Lubsen’s clinical interests include primary care for older adults, advance care planning, dementia, caregiver support, falls prevention and substance abuse treatment. She is partnering with SHOW to study engagement in advance care planning (the process of planning for future medical care and end-of-life care). She is also partnering with Dr. Manish Shah to study a coaching intervention to support caregivers of people with dementia.
