The Survey of the Health of Wisconsin is shifting data collection efforts this coming year, with the goal of being at the forefront of understanding how the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is impacting the social determinants of health.
Rather than in-person interviews, the SHOW team has created online surveys to track health changes over the coming year. Numerous investigators across campus contributed to create a diverse and unique set of questions. The surveys cover a variety of topic areas, ranging from economic impacts, to perceptions and information about the virus, to behavior change and mental health coping strategies.
Any past SHOW participants who have consented to contact for future studies are eligible. Data collection includes an initial survey this spring, followed with two additional surveys over the course of the year. Updates on data availability will come in the future.
