Physical Activity

Acronym(s): PAQ; PAM (for minors)

Description: The Physical Activity and Physical Fitness (PAQ) section asks the respondent about physical activities that are done over a typical week. The first series of questions are related to work, then transportation, followed by questions regarding physical activities during recreational time. The last series of questions are related to activities that involve sitting and most questions in this series are asked about the last 30 days.

For Minors: The Physical Activity for Minors (PAM) section asks the respondent about physical activites that are done over a typical week or typical day. The first section of questions are asked of those age >=12 and <18 and the second section of questions are asked of an adult proxy for those age >=3 and <12. The sections contain physcial activity quetions pertaining to general physical acitivity followed by questions pertaining to physical activity at school.
