COVID-19 Initiatives
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the SHOW program is working on two new projects.
Please note: we are unable to accept new volunteers at this time. Only past SHOW participants who receive an invitation are eligible for either study.
The Past Antibody COVID-19 Community Survey
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services approached SHOW to support their antibody testing in the state of Wisconsin.
SHOW’s unique statewide sample makes the program perfect for quick data collection to understand how different communities in Wisconsin are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Only past SHOW participants who receive an email or mailed letter invitation are eligible for antibody testing with PACCS.

Press Release
For more information about our public health work with the Department of Health Services, check out our press release from June 17, 2020.

COVID-19 Survey
Rather than in-person interviews, the SHOW team has transitioned to online surveys to track health changes related to the COVID-19 pandemic over the coming year.
The surveys cover a variety of topic areas, ranging from economic impacts, to perceptions and information about the virus, to behavior change and mental health coping strategies.
Any past SHOW participants who have consented to contact for future studies are eligible.
Wave I finished at the end of June 2020. Wave II is finished as of March 2021, with Wave III planned for June 2021.
Wave I data are available now! Learn more here.
